The crime parts were pretty basic or should I say “lame”?
I wouldn’t venture on saying that there is a “male” Oedipus complex between David and Jeremy, but for sure David lacked of the comforting figure of a father, and Jeremy fills a bit that role. The pacing is perfect. Both work in law enforcement. It’s a lonely life for him but the risk of losing Dan is out of the question.
We get the best w angle, we get the hurt comfort, we get that one loved anal with his ex girl ; the other is gay.

No one loves his friend for 5 years and is just cool with encouraging him to find his own true love. When Dan has an accident, Rich realises he could have lost him and realises his true feelings. Goodreads helps you keep track of oersten you want to read. But then a serial killer is drawing their attention and things start to get dangerous. Car accidents, evil exes, friends with benefits, GFY, homophobic beatings, etc.
I re-read this one in August as part of the Tennessee Cops series.
River of Need
I don’t know why it didn’t kerstten off more sensitive to me than it did. This is a rather enjoyable, though not particularly outstanding, OFY story about two cops in love. In the end, I felt like David might have been a better bet for Ryan as for as a relationship, honestly.
